Das Kindercafe in Erftstadt stand schon lange auf meiner “to visit” Liste, endlich war ich mal dort. Seit kurzem findet ihr auch eine Webseite des Cafes, bis vor kurzem waren die Infos noch ausschließlich auf FB zu finden.
Frühstücken im Kindercafe Erftstadt
Nach Berichten von Bekannten und der Webseite ist das Cafe hauptsächlich auf Frühstück und Brunch spezialisiert. Zum Frühstücken waren wir aber leider zu spät dran, muss ich dann wohl wann anders ausprobieren.
Tipp: Direkt vor der Tür ein großer Parkplatz, unstressiges Parken garantiert.
Platz zum Spielen
Am Wochenende ist das Cafe zwischen 13 und 14 Uhr geschlossen, wir hatten das Cafe anschließend erstmal für uns. Sehr ungewöhnlich, dass es in einem Familien Cafe so ruhig zugeht unsere Mädels hatten den großen Spielbereich mit Spielhaus, einem Tipi, der Rutsche und den kompletten Fuhrpark für sich, ideal. Zum späten Nachmittag hin wurden es zwar mehr Leute, aber immer noch nicht unangenehm voll. Der Raum ist ziemlich groß und wirkt wenn man ihn allein hat mit den Fliesen und bunt 
zusammengewürfelten Möbeln auf den ersten Eindruck etwas unpersönlich, aber dafür gibt es auch bei mehreren Gästen immer noch genug Platz um mit dem kleinen Einkaufswagen um die Tische zu fetzen. Außerdem kann man, denk ich von jedem Tisch den Spielbereich einsehen.
Kulinarisches
Irgendwie waren wir an dem Nachmittag auf Kuchen essen eingestellt… und dadurch etwas enttäuscht, dass es keinen gab. Zugegeben, es steht auch nirgends, keine Ahnung warum wir davon ausgegangen sind, dass es Kuchen geben müsste. Naja dafür gab es Schoko-Bananen Pfannkuchen, groß und lecker! Die Preise für Essen und Trinken liegen allerdings auch etwas über dem Durchschnitt, dafür wird aber fürs Spielen nix verlangt.
Für alle Erftstädter Eltern und aus der näheren Umgebung ein super Ort um in Ruhe Kaffee zu trinken und den kids beim Spielen zuzuschauen. Ich muss auf jeden Fall nochmal hin und den Brunch ausprobieren!

Breakfast in the children’s café Erftstadt
According to reports from acquaintances and the website, the cafe is specialized mainly in breakfast and brunch. Unfortunately we were too late for breakfast, thus, I have to try it another time.
Tip: Right in front of the cafe a large parking lot, unstressed parking guaranteed.
Space to play
At the weekend the cafe is closed between 1 and 2 o’clock, shortly after we had the cafe almost for us. Very unusual that it is so quiet in a family cafe, our girls had the large play area with playhouse, a teepee, the slide and the entire fleet of cars and motors all for themselves, ideal. In the late afternoon, it was more busy, but still not uncomfortably full. The room is quite large and if you have it alone with the tiles and colorfully mixed furniture at first impression a bit impersonal, but on the other hand there is still enough room with several guests to run with the small shopping cart around the tables. In addition, I think, you can see the playing area from every single table.
Culinary
Somehow we were set for cake that afternoon … and a bit disappointed that there was none. Admittedly, it is nowhere stated, no idea why we thought there would be cake to get. Well, there was chocolate banana pancakes, big and tasty! The prices for food and drinks are a bit above average, but no money is asked for the kids playing.
I can imagine for all parents from Erftstadt and from the surrounding area a great place to drink some coffee and watch the kids playing. At least I have to go back and try the brunch!
